Life is better on the water
There is a particular kind of summer that only a lake can give you: the slap of a paddle against still water at sunrise, the exhilaration of catching your first wind in a sail, the easy confidence that comes from learning to navigate open water. At Camp Chodikee, Chodikee Lake is not a backdrop. It is the campus. Every program, every activity, every friendship forms with the water at its center.

Certified instructors on the water, every session
Every on-water program at Camp Chodikee is led by American Canoe Association or US Sailing certified instructors. Our waterfront director has more than a decade of open-water experience. Safety is not a checklist here - it is the culture. Campers learn to respect the water before they race on it, and that lesson stays with them for life.
Two-week and four-week residential sessions
Camp Chodikee runs two-week and four-week overnight sessions from late June through mid-August. Cabin groups of ten share waterfront rotations, family-style meals, and the quiet rituals of lake camp life: hammocks at rest hour, stargazing from the dock, and the morning bell that begins every day on the water.
